Performanta appoints Global VP of Microsoft Practice to drive business strategy

Maidenhead, UK – Performanta, recently named the leading MSSP in the UK and Africa by MSSP Alert, has appointed José Lázaro Pinos as Global VP of Microsoft Practice to drive the company’s Microsoft strategy.

“Performanta is 'Microsoft-first', and my commitment is to establish the business as the 'go-to' MSSP for customers eager to embrace digital transformation and increase operational efficiency while achieving zero trust through the Microsoft Security Suite," José states. "I will steer the business strategy, drive greater adoption, and nurture the team's passion for delivering the security of the future."

José brings with him a wealth of experience in the Microsoft Security domain, having served as a Partner Solution Architect at Microsoft. In this capacity, José played a pivotal role in ensuring UK partner success, particularly by leading the solution Play Protect against threats with SIEM + XDR.

A primary focus for José and the wider team is to utilise the power of artificial intelligence to elevate enterprise security. The goal is to simplify complexity and capture threats that others might miss by triaging signals at machine speed. Microsoft Security Co-Pilot represents the beginning of a new era, and Performanta is ready to embrace it.

José continues, “The unparalleled power of AI and machine learning is redefining the landscape of digital security. When combined with the outstanding talent at Performanta, it lays the foundation for a truly next-generation security service. Moreover, my commitment is to work closely with our customers, forging enduring relationships and positioning ourselves as the paramount security provider every organisation requires."

Quentene Finnegan, Performanta’s COO, comments, “José’s passion for championing Performanta’s Microsoft-first approach is what makes him an invaluable addition to the business. The unique experience that José brings to the team, having worked closely with the Microsoft Sentinel engineering team, means our customers will have access to his industry-leading consultancy as they work to optimise their Microsoft Security Suite. Without a doubt, José is going to transform our Microsoft strategy, which will prove critical for both the company and our customers.”

Earlier this year, Performanta joined the prestigious Microsoft Intelligent Security Association, and achieved the Microsoft verified Managed Extended Detection and Response solution status.
