Attie Booyens is the co-founder of the Performanta Group and has over 17 years experience in the security industry and 37 years in IT.

Initially appointed as CTO of the company, Attie managed all aspects of technology delivery to the company’s customers. He took on the role of COO in 2013, and is currently focused on corporate governance and creating a solid and sustainable platform for business operational excellence. Attie oversees internal IT systems, business continuity, business information, legal and statutory requirements, IPO preparation and planning, corporate governance and business processes.

In 1998, Attie founded NGS (Pty) Ltd, the forerunner to Performanta, and joined forces with Guy Golan in 2003.

He qualified as a mechanical engineer and in his early days in IT he was very active in software application development.
